English Willow Ashes Urns

These beautifully crafted Eco Friendly English Willow urns are handwoven by skilled craftsmen with long family histories in willow weaving, using traditional methods and great attention to detail. the colours are made by dyeing willow strands first and then weaving these into the shape, different colours are achieved by using natural methods of drying, boiling or stripping of the willow bark. Willow is a deciduous tree found primarily in temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Almost all willows take root very readily, either from cuttings or even where broken branches are left lying on the ground. This tree has the unique ability to regenerate from the same crown for 30 to 40 years. Once harvested, it can grow back to the same height in a year. Willow has been grown on the Somerset levels for centuries and as it regenerates easily once harvested, it has become a popular sustainable choice.

With every urn order we include a free of charge bamboo name plate (this can vary in design dependant on the style of the urn but the one most commonly used is in the photo below) this is blank and you can either have this engraved by us (using engraving lines 1 & 2, 3 when you order for an additional charge of £18.00 per line) or you can arrange for this to be done yourself or by your Funeral Director).
